In the thirties, it was the first company to introduce mechanized glass-making called "Compagnie Internationale de Gobeleterie Inebréchable" and today Durobor® stands out as a seller, designer and decorator of glass, not just as a manufacturer. Durobor glasses combine the joys of design and Art de la table.

The lightly hammered structure of the glass diffracts the light making it sparkle with lots of unusual colours.

Cancun Dur-O-Bord

The heat treatment used means that the side of the glasses is reinforced because the edges are tougher ( dur au bord is french for hard around the edges). This specificity in glass-making will give the company its name.

DECORATION

Durobor® is one of the main suppliers of glasses to the beverage industry.
The silk-screen process allows glass decoration up to 8 colours. More than 30 million glasses are decorated and toughened every year.

TREMPE

Durobor® is one of the rare industrial operators that is able to toughen its glasses.This specific treatment, which consists in re-heating the glass and then cooling it rapidly, guarantees strenght and safety for the user.
As from the first quarter of 2009, the technique can be applied to all glasses, whatever their shape, including stemmed glasses.
